FROM THE START, HARVEST VALLEY CHURCH HAS EXISTED TO BUILD THE CHURCH IN OUR VALLEY THROUGH CHRIST-CENTERED TEACHING, LIFE-GIVING RELATIONSHIPS, AND SPIRIT-EMPOWERED MISSION.

Meet Pastor Nate!

Meet Nate Leedahl, the pastor of our North Fargo location at HVC! After years in a pharmacy career, Nate felt God’s call to step fully into ministry—a passion that began stirring in his heart during college. He’s deeply committed to discipleship, worship, and leading both his family and others with excellence.

A natural encourager, Nate loves reading and learning from others. In his free time, you might catch him cheering at a sporting event, jumping into a pickup basketball game, or adventuring with his family!

Harvest Valley Life Episode 2.10 | Listen as Pastor Randy asks Pastor Nate about his background and his journey to becoming HVC's newest staff member.

OUR WHY

Our name and vision statement communicates our heart for the Red River Valley. It remains our mission to advance the Kingdom of God by planting life-giving churches in our valley. New locations reach new people with the gospel and continue to activate the church towards the Great Commission. A healthy church in another part of our city will have a kingdom impact on people our Horace location will not. We are making the gospel accessible and extending our reach beyond the Horace area. In short, we are going into the field to reach the harvest in our region.

PROPOSED LOCATION

Research shows that the north half of the FM Metro has the least local church engagement of all of North Dakota. More than 100,000 individuals live north of I-94 and east of I-29 within our metro area and yet this same area continues to see church closures and lagging generational impact. At the same time, the FM Metro continues to add an average of 5,000 new people each year, not including NDSU’s constantly rotating population of 12,000 college students! Trends indicate young families are beginning to move into north Fargo’s established neighborhoods and the dense population of downtown is expected to double by 2032. We believe the time is right and opportunity is great for another life-giving expression of the Church to be established in this part of our valley.

How Can I Be A Part?

Fast and Pray.

First, will you pray and fast? Advancing God’s purposes is a work that is done in prayer and humility.

Give.

Consider sowing a financial investment into this vision through our Kingdom Builders North fund. We remain a church that uses its resources to advance the Church in the Valley and around the world.

Respond.

Ask the Lord if you are called to help launch our north location. We believe that a group of people will respond to His call to help launch and establish this location.

Invite.

Who do you know in the north part of Fargo that needs Jesus or who is not connected with a church family? Reach out to them and invite them into the journey!

q&a

Our Values

What about the land and building process for the Horace location?

God has blessed us with land, and we will build a future home for our Horace location.

        Sample Link

Why not wait until the building is done to launch another location?

We understand that culture is typically defined by a church’s first five years of existence and that these choices matter. We have always been a church about reaching people with the gospel. A building will be an amazing tool for our ministry in the Horace area. Yet, it does not sideline our commitment to be faithful goers who take initiative, reach out, and carry the gospel to others in our valley and around our world.

Will this make our Horace location smaller?

Growth happens when we multiply. We invite you to prayerfully consider joining this launch team, and we know that some of us will go to be part of our north location. At the same time, God builds His Church and we believe He is not done in Horace, or anywhere else!

        Sample Link

Will this mean our teams are all being split in half?

No. Very similar to how HVC was first launched, we believe God is preparing and calling individuals who will become a part of this launch team and location who are not currently a part of HVC. While we will be sending some number of people to be a part of this location, we expect the majority of this location and its teams to be new to HVC.

        Sample Link

Will the Horace location have to carry the financial load?

No. New team members that are added pre and post launch will be able to financially contribute to this location to ensure that it will be financially self-suficient.

        Sample Link

What will the leadership look like?

We will be one church with multiple locations. Pastor Randy will continue to serve as the lead pastor over HVC providing overall leadership and vision and continuing as the main teaching pastor at our Horace location. We will also maintain one set of boards which will oversee all locations.

        Sample Link

Will this be a video venue?

No. Pastor Nate Leedahl has joined Harvest Valley Church to serve as the main pastor for our north location and will be the primary communicator at that location on Sundays. Our location will share the same culture, values, and sermon content.
