Derek Halvorson

Derek is a husband, dad of six, and a numbers guy with a heart for people. After earning his accounting degree from MSUM, he spent 14 years in Minneapolis as a CPA before he and his wife, Lacy, felt God leading them back to Fargo. Now, he keeps the numbers in check at a property management company while keeping life adventurous with his family.



Analytical yet patient, he’s a problem-solver at work and a steady, encouraging presence everywhere else. Whether hiking, biking, or camping with his crew, Derek finds joy in serving others and reflecting Christ’s love in the everyday moments. And if you ever need someone to wake up early—his first job was a paper route, so he’s got that covered too.
